SUP & Sun is a recreational business that provides paddleboards, tandem kayaks, canoes, pedal boats, and dinghy boat rentals! They are located in Belle River just off the roundabout towards the West Beach. SUP & Sun also hosts paddling lessons for individuals and groups, summer camps, birthday parties, school field trips, team building and corporate events, as well as SUP fitness and yoga.
In 2016, this family business was established with only 8 paddle boards and 3 kayaks. Currently, they have over 50 paddle boards and 30 kayaks! They have also added motorized dinghies to their rentals this year. Their staff is very friendly and courteous as they try to assure that you have a safe and pleasant experience. Each paddler is assigned a qualified paddling instructor that provides a safety demonstration prior to embarking.
SUP & Sun are big believers in giving back to their community. They hire local youth every summer that provide them with opportunities and mentoring. Every year, they also participate in the Ride Don’t Hide event for CMHA. They also host free events for children with special needs and their care providers outside of business hours so they can try water activities in a safe and relaxed atmosphere.
During this pandemic, SUP & Sun makes it their priority to sanitize all equipment prior to renting and using. They also have special markers to encourage social distancing.
SUP & Sun is currently open on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. They are also booking appointments after 4:00 p.m. for parties of 4 or more. Make sure to stop by before the season is over!
